Dream Maker Space & Future-Ready Education
Assumption College needed a commercial that clearly communicated the mission behind their innovative Dream Maker Space - a hub meant to prepare students for life in an everchanging and technology driven world. We needed to craft a narrative that tied together Assumption's storied past with their future forward thinking without losing sight of the traditions that are the foundation of the College.
The Challenge
In a saturated dining market, Coals needed to stand out by highlighting its dedication to the craft of steak-making and offering an elevated yet approachable experience. This required a cohesive brand identity, engaging content, and a targeted advertising strategy to build awareness and draw diners from day one.

Pre-Production: Strategic Planning & Narrative Design
We filmed over three days at Assumption College’s Bangkok campus, using a full-scale but agile crew. Our production approach combined sit-down interviews, live classroom activity, and dynamic b-roll of student work in progress. We used dual-camera setups for all interviews and cinematic tools like gimbal rigs and slow tracking shots to give the footage visual depth. Sound was recorded independently with lav mics to ensure clarity in high-activity areas like the robotics lab. All production elements—including lighting, art direction, and movement—were carefully handled in-house to reflect a polished, cohesive brand identity without overproduction.
Editorial Structure & Tone
Given the seven-minute runtime, the editorial structure needed to balance depth with clarity. We approached the edit by first building a foundation from full interview transcripts, identifying recurring themes and strong emotional moments. These guided the chapter-based flow of the final cut, which moved through Assumption College’s core messages—from its educational philosophy and STEM initiatives to student experiences and faculty insights.
The tone was kept professional and future-focused, with deliberate pacing to allow the narrative to breathe. Visual consistency was achieved through a clean, modern color grade that emphasized natural lighting and complemented the school’s branding. Motion graphics were created to introduce speakers, identify key topics, and mark transitions between thematic sections, without distracting from the content. Subtitles in both Thai and English were embedded to ensure accessibility for a wider audience, including parents, educators, and stakeholders.
To elevate the emotional tone, we commissioned a custom music score that would evolve with the narrative, starting with a sense of curiosity and building into confidence and optimism. Sound design was applied with restraint—natural ambience was layered beneath dialogue to preserve the real-world atmosphere of the school while enhancing clarity and immersion. The final post-production process brought together all the visual and narrative elements into a cohesive film that communicated Assumption College’s vision with both precision and authenticity.
Post-Production
The hybrid format demanded close alignment between editorial and animation teams. Live-action scenes were blended with custom 2D/3D animated elements representing Channel 3’s new programming identity. Color grading, compositing, and visual transitions were all designed to match Channel 3’s brand palette. Sound design and VO were handled in-house to retain tone consistency.
Outcome and Reflections
The final result was a vibrant, fast-paced TVC that aired nationally and online, supporting Channel 3’s broader brand refresh campaign. From production to post, this project reflects our ability to merge traditional TVC storytelling with modern visual techniques—right here in Bangkok.
